Museum and Arts

Employees in this subfamily are responsible for the operations of a museum. Typical activities include planning, scheduling and preparing exhibits, and may include managing day-to-day operations and financial activities of the museum. Employees are responsible for the design, installation and interpretation of a collection; the safe movement of museum collections and all related records and documentation; and the documentation and insurance of loan collections. Employees may oversee the conservation of collection, conduct research, write papers and increases awareness of a collection. Duties include the installation and removal of museum exhibits. Employees may report effectiveness of a display and suggest modifications for improvement.

Performing Arts

Employees in this subfamily are responsible for the performing arts and theatrical productions. Typical activities include determining production requirements, theater management, construction, installation and maintenance of elements in a variety of theatrical craft and arts areas (including direction, technical support, stage crews, lighting, sound, scenery, rigging, props, projection, multi-media, wardrobe, hair and make-up, and artist hospitality).
